The Graduate Joint Consultative Committee (GJCC)
is a forum through which views can be exchanged on any matters
relating to the postgraduate provision with the members of the Faculty. The matters covered
by this Committee shall include:
i) graduate training
ii) graduate provision and reseach facilities
iii) opportunities for teaching .and demonstrating
iv) safety and welfare of students.
v) post.
Meetings are held twice a term (except in Trinity Term when
there is only one meeting). Each College provides a representative
for one year. The Committee usually comprises fourteen junior
members and six senior members (two from each of the Sections
of Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry). A list of all
representatives can be found by clicking on 'Membership' below.
While there is an emphasis on undergraduate matters, there
are three Part II students and three Postgraduate representatives
too, and "Graduate Matters"
is a standing item on the Agenda of each CJCC meeting for these
individuals to raise points of particular relevance to the
postgraduate body.
