The Central Chemistry Laboratory houses a number of groups from each of the major sub-departments in Chemistry, including the OCMS and Chemistry IT Centre.
The structured wiring design in the CCL consists of a backbone that runs in a riser behind the lift shaft, this connects the four Concentration Points (CPs) on the Second, First and Ground floors to the main point in the basement.

The network topology of the buiding is based on once concentration point per floor, to see how these concentration points are connected then select the Backbone Structure diagram. It should be noted that the Chemistry IT Centre has its own network and is not included in the rest of the topology and backbone for CCL. |
Selecting a specific floor and room on that floor to see how the cables in that room connect to the network. |
