Introducing the Chem3D Plug-in.

...what is the Chem3D Plug-in and how can I use it

The Chem3D Plug-in brings 3-dimensional molecular models to life using your web browser. The visualization features of Chem3D are built into the Chem3D plug-in so that you can view, rotate and analyze molecular models.

To the right is an example image of a simple Chem3D model in action. If you have the plug-in then the same molecule is available to be manipulated.

To use the Chem3D commands that you normally see in the Menu bar of the Chem3D application:

Point within the window above and right-click (Windows users) or point within the window above, press and hold the Ctrl key and hold down the mouse button (Macintosh users).
Drag the mouse button to the the sub menu of interest and then select from the available commands in the sub menu. The sub menu commands in the Plugin are a subset of the menu commands of the Chem3D application.

In addition to the commands in the menu bar of the Chem3D application, there are commands in the Model display menu to hide and show the rotation bars and the movie controller.

The commands available in the Chem3D Plugin will depend on whether you are using the Std version or the Net version (less features than Std).
