Chemical Animation - QuickTime

This example uses a more traditional approach to animation. The drawing was produced in ChemDraw and the line drawing molecules moved across the screen.

The example illustrates an animated organometallic catalytic cycle.

This though is not ideal since the catalytic cycle is not linear and thus the animation cannot be looped and therefore only one cycle is shown, more would increase the file size.

Shockwave enables powerful programming and therefore we can control the animation much better.
