Postdoctoral Research Associate(s) in Catalysis/Organic Chemistry (2 Posts)  (Professor Tim Donohoe)
Grade 7: 31,076 - 32,958 p.a.

Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Research Associates to work under the supervision of Professor Tim Donohoe on a research project funded by EPSRC, each for a period of up to 18 months. The project involves catalysis and its application to synthetic organic chemistry.

You should have a PhD in Organic Chemistry or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment and have expertise in the design and execution of synthetic schemes and a strong appreciation of mechanism in organic chemistry. Duties include developing and testing new hypotheses, analysing and reviewing scientific data, and managing own academic research and administrative activities, involving small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, 12 Mansfield Road, OX1 3TA and is available from 1 June 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter, but no later than 30 October 2017.
