Postdoctoral Research Associate  (Professor Paul Beer)
Grade 7: 31,076 - 38,183 p.a.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Paul Beer on a research project funded by the EPSRC for a period of 3 years. The aim of the project is to exploit the unique topological interlocked host cavities and dynamic properties of rotaxanes and catenanes as a sophisticated means of sensing anions of biological, medical and environmental importance.

You should have a PhD in Chemistry or a related area, or have submitted a PhD thesis prior to taking up your appointment. The research requires a strong background in synthetic supramolecular organic and coordination chemistry. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities, and to coordinate work to meet specified deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TA.
