Postdoctoral Research Associate in Analytical Electrochemistry  (Professor Jason Davis)
Grade 7: 31,604 - 38,833 p.a

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Analytical Electrochemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Jason Davis on a research project funded by the EPSRC for a period of 12 months. The project involves the development of sophisticated on chip electroanalytical microfluidic assays relevant to Parkinsons Diagnostics.

You should have a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment. The role will include basic electroanalysis, spectroscopic impedance analysis, the generation of a range of monolayer and polymeric electrode-confined films, surface analysis and the design and utilisation of a microfluidic system. The candidate should have expertise and/or experience in analytical electrochemistry surface analysis and analytical impedimetric methods. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities, to supervise other team and lab activities when asked and to coordinate work to meet specified deadlines.

The post will be based in the Physical & Theoretical Chemistry, South Parks Road OX1 3QZ and is available immediately.
