Building Facilities Technician  (Mr Paul Mitchell)
Grade 4: £21,585 - £24,983 p.a.

The Department of Chemistry is looking for a Building Facilities Technician to work along or in conjunction with others, to provide Facilities Management for the Department of Chemistry. This includes building maintenance and repair for example mechanical, electrical, pipework and air handling systems.

In addition, there will be project work including laboratory de-commissioning and clearance as well as fit out and refurbishment of new laboratory facilities.

You will have a wide range of technical experience and advanced DIY skills and will be flexible in your work approach to switch between differing priorities with ease servicing a variety of customer needs.

You will be educated to GCSE or equivalent in Math’s and English and have excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

You will have good IT skills including MS Office and the internet and will be willing to learn new IT systems as and when required. You will have an organized approach to work and the ability to prioritise your own workload in a busy environment.

The post will be base primarily in the Department of Chemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Building, South Parks Road, Oxford but you will work across the department of Chemistry in other Chemistry buildings as and when required.

This post is full-time, permanent and available immediately.
