Applications are invited for a part-time Training Network Administrator to provide maternity cover for a fixed-term period of 7 months to work under the supervision of Professor Dirk Aarts. This post may be suitable for an individual seeking a secondment opportunity.
The position has become available due to the recent award made by the European Commission to fund a Marie Sklodowska-Curie European Training Network, which is coordinated by the University of Oxford. More information about the Aarts group can be found at: http://aarts.chem.ox.ac.uk/.
The role is a wonderful opportunity to interact on a European scale with different research groups, which host young and dynamic PhD students, and to see cutting edge science from close by.
The successful candidate will have significant financial, management, planning, communication and IT skills, and experience in successfully applying these skills. The candidate will be running the administrative aspects of the network, which involves organising network events, keeping track of the finances and reporting to the European Commission.
This is a part-time post, 22.5 hours/0.6 FTE with a start date of 1 December 2017.
The post will be based in the Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QZ.
