The MGMS Oxford Meeting
series
St. Catherine's College, Oxford
17th-20th September, 2006
The use of computational methods in molecular or drug design has been established for more than three decades and the MGMS has been active in organising meetings on related topics for much of that time. The term, "Computer-aided molecular design" was first used by the group of Professor Graham Richards at Oxford. In the UK Graham, for almost 40 years, has been the leading academic pioneer in this field, and his work has had a huge impact not only in academia, but especially in the pharmaceutical industry. This year on the occasion of Graham's retirement, the MGMS is proud to present a special conference in his honour and to highlight the work for which he is so well known. The impressive list of speakers will include not only ex-members of Graham's group but also other well known world leaders in the field.
The meeting will be held over a four day period from
17th-20th September, 2006 at St Catherines College, Oxford.
A poster session is planned with a small number of these
being selected for oral presentations. The meeting is very
reasonably priced and is open to both members and
non-members of the Society. Students are welcome at a
specially discounted rate and a number of bursaries are
available for those students who wish to present their own
work.

Organised by Dr Frank E. Blaney and Dr Guy Grant
