Practical Course Information
Physical Chemistry Laboratory: The teaching laboratories are open between 11.00-5.00 on M.,T., Th., and F. First year students taking the course in the Physical Chemistry Laboratory for the first time must collect a set of instructions from the technician in the Lower Teaching Laboratory before starting work. Any second or third year students who have not attended the introductory talk by Dr Cartwright in Michaelmas term must contact him before starting work. Third year students may work in the laboratory at any time during normal opening hours, irrespective of the college group to which they belong.

Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory: First
year students taking the Inorganic Chemistry practical
course for the first time are required to attend the ICL
lecture theatre at 12.10 p.m. on Monday of first week.
First year students continuing the Inorganic Practical
Course in Fifth week and Eighth week should attend the
demonstrations at 2 p.m. on Monday or Thursday as appropriate.
Second year students should collect their Course
Books from the teaching laboratory on Monday of first
week or fifth week as appropriate. Third year students
can commence practical work from the first Monday of term. |

Perrins Laboratory: First year students: The laboratory is open M.,T.,Th. and F.11.00-5.00 p.m. for weeks 1-4 only. Second year students: The laboratory is open M.,T.,W.,Th. & F. from 11.00am-5.00 p.m. Students should start work at 11.00 a.m. Bench space may be reserved in the week prior to the commencement of practicals. Third year students: Students may attend the laboratory on any day that it is open subject to the availability of space.

Information
Technology:
First year students are
timetabled to attend an IT course in the Chemistry IT
Centre (PTCL) during Michaelmas Term weeks 1-8 or Hilary
weeks 1 -4. Third year students are required
to show evidence of IT skills by completing an open
access course during their third year, details are found
