Practical Course Information

Physical Chemistry Laboratory: The Teaching Laboratory is open between 11.00 and 5.00 on M., T., Th., and F. during weeks 1-5. The laboratories will be closed during weeks 6-8.
1st year students should work in the timetabled slots; 2nd and 3rd year students may work at any time the Laboratories are open, irrespective of the College to which they belong. 3rd year students should note that the practical course in all Laboratories must be complete by the end of week 4.

Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory: First year students should complete experimental work in their timetabled slots weeks 1-4. Second year students can work 11-1; 2-6 weekdays apart from Wednesdays during weeks 1-5.
Third year students must complete practical work by the end of week 4. The laboratory will be closed for practical work weeks 6-8.

Information Technology: Third year students are required to show evidence of IT skills by completing an open access course during their third year, details are found on the web cf. http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/it/courses.html


Dyson Perrins Laboratory: The First Year should attend at 11-5 on either M.&T. or Th.&F depending on your Group allocation. The second year laboratory is open every day between 11.00 & 5.00. Students should start work at 11.00. Bench space may be reserved from 0th or 6th week as appropriate. Third year students may attend on any day the laboratory is open (11 - 5) subject to the availability of space up to the end of week 4.
