Astrophoria Foundation Year open to applications

UK state school students have until the 31 January to apply for Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year through UCAS. This is a fully funded one-year course for students who have experienced disadvantage or disruption during their education. Tuition and accommodation fees are covered by the University, and a non-repayable bursary is provided to students to cover their living costs.

There are a range of subjects are on offer including Science (with a route into Chemistry), Humanities, Law and PPE courses. The grade requirements are lower than the undergraduate requirements ranging from BBB to AAB at A-level. For the Foundation Year in Chemistry, Engineering and Materials Science the A-level grade requirement is AAB, and a number of other qualification types are accepted.

Students who pass a foundation year at the required level can progress automatically onto an undergraduate course at Oxford. Applications are submitted through UCAS and the deadline to apply for 2024 entry is on 31 January 2024.
