Professor Dame Carol Robinson has been awarded the 2022 Benjamin Franklin Medal in Chemistry. The award recognises Professor Robinson’s work developing techniques for analyzing the interactions of biological molecules such as proteins and lipids, which helps understand their biological functions and aids pharmaceutical discoveries.
The work of Professor Robinson and the 12 other laureates will be celebrated at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, in May 2022. The Franklin Medal, named after Benjamin Franklin, has been awarded since 1824 to recognise great minds in science, engineering, and industry.
