Andrew Goodwin has recently returned from Vancouver, where he delivered the Chemical Society of Canada Distinguished Lecture. The Lectureship involved a tour of three universities in British Columbia: the University of Victoria, the University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University (SFU). Andrew spoke on the topic of 'Complexity by Design'.

The CSC Distinguished Lectureship was endowed by proceeds from the CSC 2014 Conference and is administered by SFU. Andrew is the third CSC Distinguished Lecturer, following Richard Schrock (MIT) in 2015 and Robert Grubbs (CalTech) in 2018.
