On 20 October 2026, Oxford Chemistry welcomed Professor Warren Piers from the University of Calgary to deliver the RJP Williams Lecture.
Prof Piers discussed his research into the activation of chemical bonds using molybdenum complexes, with applications in catalysis and energy-related chemistry.
Held every two years, the lecture honours Professor RJP ‘Bob’ Williams FRS (1926–2015), a pioneering chemist and former Oxford professor, celebrating his lasting contribution to chemistry.
