Simon Aldridge receives Humboldt Award

Congratulations to Professor Simon Aldridge, who has been awarded a Humboldt Research Award.

The award, conferred in recognition of a researcher’s career to date, will allow Professor Aldridge to travel and carry out research projects in cooperation with colleagues in Germany.

He will be visiting the labs of both Prof Matthias Driess, who works on metal-organic and inorganic materials chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin, and Prof Holger Braunschweig, who focuses on boron, organometallic, and main-group chemistry at the University of Würzburg.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation sponsors distinguished international scientists and scholars in many different disciplines, and its research awards go to scientists who are recognised internationally as outstanding researchers in their field, with significant impact in their own discipline and beyond.
