The Société Chimique de France (SCF) has awarded its 2025 Prix Franco-Britannique to Professor Véronique Gouverneur for outstanding contributions in organofluorine chemistry and active collaborations with French research groups.
The Franco-British Prize is a biennial award, established in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). In odd-numbered years it is conferred in France to a British chemist, with the award winner delivering three lectures in France; in even years it is conferred in Britain to a French chemist.
The first recipient of the Franco-British Prize, in 2007, was Prof Malcolm Green, formerly the Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in Oxford.
