Charlotte completed her undergraduate degree in Natural Science (Chemistry) with the Open University. She undertook a final year research project working at Johnson Matthey in their Recycling and Separations Technologies working on the Advanced Lithium-Ion Capacitors and Electrodes (ALICE) project.
She competed her DPhil at the University of Oxford in the Vincent Group, where her research was on harnessing biological half reactions for organic synthesis as part of an iCASE studentship with Johnson Matthey as her industrial partners.
Charlotte was appointed to her current role as Departmental Lecturer in Practical Chemistry in the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory in 2024. Her educational interests include the development of more inclusive teaching practices and she is the EDI representative for the CTL.
