Professor Jones is Energy Materials Coordinator for the ISIS neutron spallation facility and Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry for Lincoln College, Oxford University. His scientific interests lie in the synthesis, optimization and characterisation of materials for energy, and he has published on many different materials systems including superconductors, transparent conducting oxides, batteries, hydrogen storage, the ammonia economy and catalysts. His main interest is currently the use of neutrons and muons for in-operando energy materials characterisation.
