Complete potential energy curves are computed for the 3Π o+u states of Cl2 and Br2 by the Rydberg-Klein-Rees method using spectroscopic data. The reduced potential curves are drawn and the principle of corresponding states is found to hold for these two states. © The Faraday Society and Contributors, 1967.
