Congratulations to Dr Andy Sode Anker, who has just been announced as one of this year’s Forbes 30 under 30 Europe (Science and Healthcare).
Andy is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Technical University, Denmark, and a Novo Nordisk Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow currently working in Oxford with Prof Volker Deringer. He is the Principal Investigator on a project aiming to build a self-driving laboratory for controlled synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles.
This autonomous platform not only synthesises the nanoparticles but also carries out scattering experiments and analyses the data using machine learning models. The data gained in this analysis informs the laboratory’s subsequent experiments, optimising the synthesis process in a closed loop of continuous improvement.
As a visiting researcher in Prof. Deringer's group, Andy is integrating atomistic machine learning potentials to guide the self-driving laboratory before and during the process. You can get in touch with Andy on andy.anker@chem.ox.ac.uk.
