Congratulations to Professor Fernanda Duarte Gonzalez, who has been announced as the 2022 recipient of the Novartis Early Career Award in Chemistry.
Through close collaborations with experimental groups, Professor Duarte and her lab deploy a wide variety of cutting-edge computational techniques to aid in understanding (bio)chemical processes, including elucidating reaction mechanisms, predicting (bio)chemical reactivity and selectivity, and guiding molecular design.
The Novartis Early Career Award in Chemistry is given annually to outstanding scientists within 10 years of having established an independent academic research career in chemistry. The awardee receives an unrestricted research grant.
