Dr Patricia Rodriguez Macia has been selected as the winner of the Inorganic Biochemistry Discussion Group’s Early Career Researcher Award for 2022. The IBDG is affiliated to the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Dalton Division and its committee members were impressed by Patricia’s contributions in the area of metalloenzyme characterisation and mechanistic investigation, commenting that they see Patricia as a future star of bioinorganic chemistry. In recognition of her achievement, Patricia will receive a cash prize and has been invited to present her work at a forthcoming meeting of the IBDG.
