The Department is delighted to record that Nenad Vranješ, former Manager of the electronics Workshop, has been awarded an Honorary MA for services to the Department by the Vice-Chancellor.
Nenad retired in July 2022 after 44 years of service, during which he was an integral part of the facilities team. Nenad contributed to the design and build of many important pieces of laboratory apparatus and also made a substantial intellectual contribution to the development of apparatus that enabled new science to be conducted at international facilities.
Nenad’s in-depth and practical knowledge of electronics, his talent for problem solving and his ability to engage with staff and students, have left a lasting legacy in the Department. We wish Nenad all the best in his retirement.
