Véronique Gouverneur delivers George Büchi lectures at MIT

On May 4 and 5 2023, Professor Véronique Gouverneur was at MIT to deliver the Buchi Lectures in Organic Chemistry.

This lectureship was established in 1988 in recognition of Professor Buchi’s contribution to MIT, his coworkers, and the science of organic chemistry.

Véronique is the second UK-based Buchi lecturer since 1988, the first being Professor Jack E. Baldwin (2000–2001). The other female recipients on the list include Laura L. Kiessling (2009–2010) and Carolyn Bertozzi (2012–2013).

Earlier this spring on April 14 2023 , Véronique was also one of the Herbert C.Brown Lecturers at Purdue University along Margaret Brimble, Mark Lautens and Benjamin List.
