The Service recommends that any research containing crystallographic data is validated by an experienced crystallographer before publication in order to maintain the high standard of reported and interpreted structural data output by the Chemistry Department in Oxford.
For structures collected and solved by the service, the Departmental expectation, and that of the crystallographic community, is that the crystallographer should be an author on publications reporting the structure. This is the same type of arrangement as for the EPSRC UK National Crystallography Service. Papers should not be submitted for publication without all authors having seen and agreed the paper.
