About the speaker:
Kieran Porteous graduated in 2019 with an MChem from the University of Oxford. He is an Chemical Emergency Responder at the National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC), a role that uses the skills and knowledge gained from his degree. The NCEC acts as a third-party emergency line for multiple companies dealing in chemicals, small and large, helping with chemical incidents – like fires, spills or exposure - as well as supporting the UK emergency services.
