Ask A Chemist: Lina Cox

A chance to submit questions to a chemist on their work, their studies and their career. 

About the speaker:

Lina is a trainee patent attorney with J A Kemp LLP. Originally from North Yorkshire, she made the journey down to attend the UNIQ chemistry summer school in the summer of 2015.

After an amazing time on UNIQ, she decided to apply to Oxford, and got a place to study chemistry at Exeter College, Oxford from 2016 to 2020. For her final year project she researched synthetic oligonucleotide backbone mimics (trying to overcome the barriers preventing wider adoption of DNA based therapeutics).

In October 2020, she started at J A Kemp as a trainee patent attorney in their chemistry and pharmaceutical team.
