Women in Science Taster Day
St Catherine’s College has a proud history of supporting Women in Science and is pleased to host a Virtual Taster day for young women hoping to study a STEMM subject at University.
Morning (from 10.00): Introductory sessions (for all attendees)
- Presentation: Application Process for STEMM at University
- Q&A: ‘Meet the Students’ – with current Undergraduates at Catz studying STEMM subjects.
In the afternoon, 16:00-16:50, three of our DPhil students, Izzy Creed, Hannah Hayler and Bethany Shire, will share their journeys to Oxford Chemistry and explain their research before answering your questions. There are other sessions available, too, in other subjects.
The event is free and open to all UK Year 12 students whose identity includes female or non binary. Should the event be oversubscribed, priority will be given to applicants from state schools.
