In my role as Head of Administration I am the operations lead for the Department of Chemistry with a broad range of responsibilities in support of the Department’s research and teaching. I work closely with the Head of Department and senior colleagues on matters of strategy, planning and governance and on key Department-wide agenda such as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, capital planning, and financial sustainability. I also oversee the Chemistry Operations Team which comprises the heads of the operational functions for Facilities, Finance, HR, IT, Research Facilitation, Communications and Alumni, Development, and for teaching delivery (Faculty Office). In my role I work closely with the members of the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Office, senior staff in the central University and my counterparts in other academic departments.
